Gallery Procedures

Art Display Policy

Our goal in the gallery is to create a dynamic and engaging experience for visitors by curating artwork in a way that is fresh, eye-catching, and ever evolving. Rather than assigning specific wall spaces to individual artists, the Gallery Design & Display Committee will thoughtfully arrange 2D & 3D works in an intermingled display that highlights the strength of the collective and enhances the overall visual impact.

This approach will allow for creative curation, ensuring that the gallery always feels new and inspiring while giving all artists the opportunity to be showcased in different contexts. We expect that the arrangements will be updated every 2-3 weeks. Our goal is to create an inviting and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and conversation, drawing attention to the diversity and talent within our artistic community.

Committee Work

In addition to working shifts, all voting members must offer a minimum of 2-4 hours of time per month to various committees to keep the gallery running and successful.  You can choose or will be assigned a responsibility according to your skill set and where there is the most need. The committee opportunities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Advertising/Marketing/Social Media

  • Website & Graphic Design

  • Computer Skills & Managing Online Store

  • Member Liaison

  • Event Planning

  • Insurance: SAC is not responsible for loss of or damage to the artist’s work, and the artist is responsible for his/her own insurance if desired.

  • If accepted, you will be asked to sign an agreement specifying the requirements for artist members. You can download a copy of the Membership Agreements here.
